Thank you for applying to the Fatemarked Facility on behalf of your chosen character. Please answer the following questions, which will allow us to determine whether they are suitable candidates. Be honest and thorough.
1. Character Name: Temujin "Gene" Khan
2. Canon/Series: Iron Man: Armored Adventures
3. Age: 17
4. Species: Human (mostly)
5. Role: Fatemarked
6. Why do you think your character is a good candidate for the Fatemarked setting? He's literally a comic book villain.
7. What skills does your character have which might make them a good Sentinel? N/A
8. What traits, abilities, or qualities does your character have which might be the reason they are Fatemarked? Gene is the only descendant of Genghis Khan's whose genes have aligned in the right way to allow him to use the Makluan Rings in the same way as his esteemed ancestor, who was infused with Makluan DNA. All his life, Gene has been plagued with prophetic dreams and visions of aliens and rings and the Mandarin's armor. Destiny and fate have governed his entire life from birth onwards, and he has been told that becoming the Mandarin is his destiny.
Boy's not just marked by fate, he's rolling in fate.
9. How do you think your character will react to their new role in life? Poorly. Especially when he doesn't have his all-powerful rings that he's spent his entire life collecting. Gene is going to pitch the tantrum to end all tantrums. Even more so when he's told he can't fight the Trust on his own. He's probably going to go off and fight a Trust agent and pass out and his Sentinel will have to go fetch his dumb ass.
10. What are some of your character's strengths? Gene is very clever and very cunning. He hatched and successfully carried out a plot to kidnap Howard Stark when he was only fifteen years old, and deposed his stepfather as the head of the Tong organized crime syndicate at sixteen. He then impersonated his stepfather and led a double life as a crime boss and high school student, getting close to Tony Stark and enlisting his help with the Makluan Rings. He has also been practicing wushu since he was five years old, reaching the rank of Gold Tiger.
11. What are some of your character's weaknesses? Gene is an arrogant son of a bitch. He's been so concerned with his destiny through his life that he hasn't really cared overmuch about making friends or keeping them. His interpersonal skills are stunted and he behaves coldly towards others. He sees others only as tools to be used and discarded when they are no longer useful. (In theory. The fact that he had started to open his heart up to friendship may also be seen as a weakness, though only by himself.) Basically, he's an aggressive, arrogant, manipulative shitlord. And he's angry, and lashes out at others inappropriately.
12. Does your character have any health problems we should know about? None aside from an abusive childhood requiring therapy.
13. Describe a single important event in your character's history. Gene was running through the bamboo forest near his childhood home in Inner Mongolia, six years old and terrified because he had a premonition that something horrible had happened to his mother. As he approached his home, he ran slap-bang into Zhang, and demanded to see his mother. Zhang only told him that his mother was gone, but Gene saw the ring on Zhang's hand, the special ring, the ring she had told Gene that would one day be his, and he knew what Zhang had done. And from that moment on, he hated Zhang, and swore revenge, and swore to find a way to bring his mother back.
He eventually accomplished the one. Not the other, though. Sorry, kid.
14. Who is your character's next-of-kin? N/A
15. Tell us about the most important relationship your character has. The most important relationship Gene has is with someone who's been dead for nearly twelve years - his mother. She was the only person who's ever loved him, and she pushed him to embrace his destiny and become the Mandarin when he revealed to her that he was seeing visions and having dreams about the armor and the rings. His stepfather Zhang killed her in his quest for power, and Gene's been chasing her ghost ever since. Everything he does is to make her proud and to prove to himself - and to her - that he's the Mandarin she said he could be, was fated to be.
16. What else should we know about your character that might recommend them to the position? Game needs more shitlords.
17. What is your character's Fatemark?
